Turning a number range into revenue
We enable Mobile operators to generate revenue to a block of their unused mobile numbers, without their incurring call termination costs.
This is why:
One of our MVNO clients is launching an innovative service to migrant customers that split time between the UK and India and the UK and Pakistan.
The problem migrants have is juggling different SIM cards to avoid onerous mobile roaming charges.
So our client’s solution is to provide a dual SIM mobile housing a UK and Indian SIM. The MVNO then provides a “Global Follow Me” number that the user can assign to either SIM quickly and easily, depending in which country the user is located.
The user then issues his or her Follow Me number to friends, family and business associates, and receives free minutes talk time based on the volume of inbound minutes.
The Follow Me number is an international mobile phone number. A mobile operator providing us with Follow Me numbers sets aside a block of numbers in the standard numbering format. When calls to these numbers arrive at its switch, the participating operator diverts them to the MVNO’s switch, from where calls terminate onto users’ SIMs. After the participating mobile operator is paid their official interconnect charge per minute by the PTT, the monies are paid to us less the agreed fee/minute for ustilising the number range.
