SECURE VOICE OVER GSM - THAT WORKS ANYWHERE
There many secure mobile voice solutions. Some excellent, but they all have a crucial limitation: they use data channels, be they Circuit Switched Data (CSD), 3G/GPRS or WiFi.
The problem is that they will not work in remote locations where there are no data channels, but only the GSM voice channel.
So Roamafone will soon be introducing specially designed microphones that connect to any GSM phone via Bluetooth, which use emulation technology to make voice secure over the GSM voice channel. That means so long as there is a GSM signal, the solution works, whether in Somalia, Zimbabwe, or the outer reaches of Siberia – anywhere so long as a mobile phone can connect to GSM for a voice conversation.
